Meeting notes for consultants, without a bot in the room.

Your clients hired you, not a notetaker. Stenote listens from your own computer, so the call stays a conversation and you still leave with notes, actions and a transcript.

Stenote suits consultants and advisers who take client calls on Zoom, Teams or Meet and do not want a bot in the participant list. It records on your own Mac or PC, then gives you a summary, action items with owners, chapters, named speakers and a searchable transcript you can export as PDF.

Your first hour is free. No card needed.

Why a bot is awkward in client calls

A notetaker bot asks to be admitted, appears in the participant list under its own name, and records everyone from the cloud. For an internal stand-up that hardly matters. In a client call, it is a third party the client did not invite, and some will ask you to remove it or decline to speak freely.

Stenote records on your side instead, from your microphone and your speakers. Nobody has to admit anything, and nothing appears in the call. You still need to tell your client you are taking notes, and many places legally require consent, but the conversation stays between the people in it.

What you have after every call

  • A summary you can sendThe decisions and the reasoning, written up minutes after you stop.
  • Action items with ownersPulled from the conversation and attributed to the person who agreed to them.
  • Your own notes, enhancedJot a few words during the call and Stenote fills in what was actually said.
  • Who said whatNamed speakers, with how much of the call each one took.
  • A transcript you can search and askAsk “what did they say about the budget?” and the answer quotes the moment.
  • Exports for your own workflowPDF, RTF or text, or send to Notion or Evernote.

How Stenote works

  1. Open a meeting

Join Zoom, Teams or Meet as usual. When the meeting app opens your microphone, Stenote asks whether to take notes. Nothing records until you say yes.

  2. Talk

Stenote listens from your own Mac or PC. Nothing joins the call, and nobody has to admit a notetaker.

  3. Get the notes

A summary, action items with owners, chapters, named speakers and a searchable transcript, with the audio kept alongside.

Confidentiality

Recording happens on your device, then the audio is uploaded to your Stenote account to be transcribed and kept in your library. It is never used to train AI models, and you can delete any recording at any time. If a client agreement restricts recording or where data can be stored, check it before you start.
