Record, transcribe and quote your interviews.
For journalists, researchers, recruiters and anyone who needs to get back to exactly what someone said. Every note links to the moment in the recording.
Stenote records interviews in person, by phone or on a video call, then gives you a transcript with named speakers that you can search, ask questions about and jump from to the exact moment in the audio. You can export as PDF, RTF, text or captions, and upload recordings you made elsewhere.
Your first hour is free. No card needed.

- Ask the recordingAsk “what did she say about the merger?” and the answer quotes the moment.

Always check before you publish
AI transcripts are good, not perfect. Names, numbers and technical terms are the usual mistakes, and speaker labels can be wrong when people talk over each other. Because Stenote keeps the audio and links notes to the moment, you can verify any quote in seconds. Do that before you publish or act on it.
Three ways to get an interview in

Frequently asked questions
Can I record a phone interview?
Yes, if you take the call on your computer, or on a phone with the Stenote app recording nearby on speaker. Tell the other person you are recording.
Can I export captions?
Yes. You can export a transcript as VTT captions, as well as PDF, RTF and plain text.
Is my source’s audio used to train AI?
No. Your audio is never used to train AI models, and you can delete a recording at any time.
Do I still need to tell people I am recording?
Yes. Not having a bot in the call does not change consent rules, which vary by country and state. Tell people you are taking notes. This is not legal advice.
Be in the meeting.
Download Stenote and let it take the notes. No bot, no admitting anyone.
